Alonso Silva | Associate
Alonso is an Associate in the Investment Banking Division of Kanan Financial Partners.
With vast experience in the corporate finance sector, Alonso has performed various financial analyses and valuation modeling with capital-raising purposes, along with profound industry research and marketing material elaboration for recent renewable energy and nearshoring projects in the Mexican territory.
Additionally, he has executed financial auditing and reporting for businesses red-flag identifying, restructuring, and strategy implementation for a Spain-based client in the machinery and infrastructure sector.
During his professional and academic career, Alonso has been involved in the creation of various financial models for the valuation of investment projects and private companies, the preparation of marketing materials for transactional purposes within the infrastructure and energy sectors in Mexico, as well as in the preparation of quarterly M&A and global macroeconomic outlook reports.
Throughout his career, Alonso has gained knowledge and extensive experience in the field of financial analysis and valuation for transactional and audit purposes, supporting companies in the energy, renewable, and logistics sectors within the North American and Latin American region.
Prior to joining Kanan, Alonso was an Analyst for the Corporate Finance team at Duff and Phelps (now Kroll) in Mexico, focused on the oil & gas, infrastructure, and renewable energy industries. Alonso began his career in finance working for international health sector firms, where he participated for two years in financial planning for new business structuring, market analysis, product research in the industry, as well as in due diligence processes.
Alonso has a degree in Economic and Financial Engineering from Universidad La Salle Mexico, obtaining his degree with a meritorious average. He participated in the annual competition “Investment Research and Valuation Challenge 2021” of the CFA Institute.
