Carlos Aguilar | Associate
Carlos is an Associate in the Investment Banking team of Kanan Financial Partners.
He has more than two years of experience in valuation and investments engaging in both buy-side and sell-side projects for private funds and companies as well as for public enterprises based in different regions around the world and operating across various sectors.
Throughout his professional career, Carlos has participated in capital raising processes, business and enterprise valuation advisory services in infrastructure, oil & gas, renewable energy, as well as space technology companies.
He has also performed financial analyses, due diligence and valuation for several private and public companies and projects, working under different investment parameters, requirements, and scenarios.
Before joining Kanan, Carlos worked at Duff & Phelps (now Kroll), where he joined as an analyst within the Corporate Finance team, focused on energy, infrastructure, and natural resources deals.
Prior to this, Carlos worked as an asset management analyst for a Mexican equities private trust where he covered the financial and banking sector, performing screening, strategy, and valuation as well as portfolio management-related tasks.
Carlos has also had working experience in Venture Capital and Private Equity funds as an investment analyst.
Carlos has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico. He has passed Level I of the CFA Program.
